We have a very interesting report from the French media in Montreal.
Dans Les Coulisse is now reporting that veteran forward Nick Bonino, a member of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, is set to meet with the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, and more specifically is set to meet with general Marc Bergevin.
The 29-year-old centerman would be exactly the kind of player Bergevin would be looking for. Montreal's deficiencies up the middle have been well documented and adding a veteran with championship experience could help mitigate that issue.
Bonino is coming off a strong season in which he recorded 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points in 80 regular season games as a Penguin.
