Sportsnet's Shawn McKenzie, son of TSN's Bob McKenzie, arrested in Nashville

Sportsnet reporter Shawn McKenzie, son of longtime TSN reporter Bob McKenzie, has been arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing after being tossed out of a Nashville bar.

Metro Nashville Police say 33-year-old Canadian Sportsnet Reporter Shawn McKenzie was arguing with staff outside of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in the early hours of Saturday morning after staff removed him from the venue for “acting rudely”. McKenzie insisted that since he had paid for a table he wasn’t leaving. Officers arrived and found him to be extremely intoxicated and verbally argumentative. He was advised he was no longer welcome and needed to leave the location on his own. He continued to argue with officers but eventually left of his own accord. Several minutes later, McKenzie returned to the bar and began to argue with staff once again, at which time he was handcuffed and taken into custody, charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing.

McKenzie was released on $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in Nashville court on July 1st.
