Sidney Crosby snaps and drops the gloves with Kyle Connor!
The captain has had enough and is cracking. See the video below:
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby felt he needed to step up, even more so than usual, when his team was falling 3-0 to the Winnipeg Jets on Friday.
Ahead into the third period and trailing by three goals, the captain had enough and snapped, dropping the gloves with another star forward Kyle Connor.
The bout didn’t last long with the linesman caught in between the two players, and Crosby didn’t look exceptionally good in it, however, it sure motivated his teammates.
Minutes later, Michael Bunting recorded the first tally for the Penguins, who have had a sluggish start to the 2024-25 season.
The Penguins have already traded out Lars Eller to the Washington Capitals with more trades expected to come to Pittsburgh especially if they can’t start racking up some points.
Crosby wanted to make sure his teammates and management know how frustrated he has been lately and him dropping the gloves made that abundantly clear.
In the end, it was Connor and the Jets that came out on top, with a 4-1 and the star forward completing the Gordie Howe hat trick with the empty net goal.
