Sidney Crosby receives two game misconducts during controversial incident on Saturday night.

Crosby was not happy.

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was not too happy on Saturday night for a variety of reasons, and there's little doubt that Los Angeles Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson and National Hockey League referee Garrett Rank are near the top of that list.

The incident that would lead to all the controversy took place roughly midway through the final period of a game between the Kings and Penguins that had completely gotten out of hand, with the Kings holding a dominant 5-0 lead at this stage of the game. Things would go downhill when Anderson delivered a cross-check, one that was more of a push that an actual forceful blow with the stick, to the back of Crosby in front of the Kings' net.

It was enough to send Crosby crashing to the ice which subsequently resulted in another player falling over top of him, and it would have ended there with a powerplay for the Penguins had Crosby not decided to get a measure of revenge.

Once Crosby realized who had pushed him from behind, he skated over to Anderson to give him a piece of his mind, much to the displeasure of the officials who were already carting Anderson off to the penalty box. Rank was having none of Crosby's antics either, so instead of simply awarding Anderson a minor for cross-checking he decided to effectively toss both men from the game with a pair of 10 minute misconducts

This only served to make Crosby even angrier however and he proceeded to chase Rank around the ice demanding an explanation, eventually resulting in his second 10 minute misconduct in a matter of seconds.
