Shea Weber is regarded as one of the most feared NHL blueliners in the game. Whether it's his blistering slap shot or intimidating presence, the 6'4" 232 pound Weber is certainly someone you don't want to mess with.
19-year-old defenceman Victor Mete from the OHL London Knights has been skating on a pairing with the former Nashville Predator in training camp.
While Weber is currently skating alongside the youngster, the veteran was asked by Sportsnet who the ideal fit for a defense partner would be.
He smirked and said, "Bobby Orr."
Weber choosing arguably the greatest defenceman to ever play the game doesn't come as much a surprise, but he does have praise for his current partner at training camp.
"He’s good," said Weber. "I didn’t realize how young he was. He’s really good with the puck, he’s mobile, and at that age it’s pretty good. I thought he was older than he was. For him to be that young, he should have a good career ahead of him."
Weber netted 17 goals in his first year in Montreal and fans will be looking for more of the same from the 32-year-old in 2017-18.
