Sharks fans are not happy with Mike Grier's latest update on Macklin Celebrini

Come on!

San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier has a bit of a 'non-update' update on #1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini's health.

Celebrini practiced with his teammates today and afterwards Grier reiterated that, while Celebrini is progressing in his recovery, there's still no timetable for his return to the lineup.

From Grier:

In other words, keep him off your fantasy roster... for now.

Read below for our initial Celebrini report, published when he first suffered the injury on the opening night of the Sharks' season.

San Jose Sharks general manager Mike Grier confirmed to reporters this morning that #1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini is out of the lineup 'week to week' and that he'll miss at least two weeks' time with an injury.

From Sharks insider Sheng Peng:

Celebrini was injured in his NHL debut, an opening night contest that saw him score a goal and an assist. Celebrini got tangled up with Utah HC forward Kevin Stenlund and went hard into the boards. Since then, the Sharks have been quiet on his injury and haven't shared any information really.

Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky told reporters yesterday that Celebrini has been nursing a hip injury for the past 10 days, but that he recently started skating on his own. Warsofsky had mentioned yesterday that he believed Celebrini's status to be 'week to week', which Grier confirmed today.

So... count Celebrini out for 2 weeks, at least.
