Ryan Lomberg snow showers Jeremy Swayman and all hell breaks loose!
Bruins are looking to force a Game 7.
In the first period of Game 6 of the second round series between the Florida Panthers and Bruins, Boston did not registered a lot of shots, however, they got the 1-0 lead after 20 minutes thanks to the first tally of the playoffs from Pavel Zacha.
Intensity went up a notch in the second period with Florida trying to tie things up. Ryan Lomberg, who was inserted back into the Panthers’ lineup for Game 6, added fuel to the fire when he skated with a chance towards Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman, only to snow shower him.
Swayman’s teammates did not appreciate and a scrum erupted stemming from Lomberg’s actions. Andrew Peeke got right in Lomberg’s face, sending the message to stay away from his netminder.
Lomberg hasn’t played since Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round series. I guess he wanted to test out how far he can go with the big bad Bruins.
The Panthers hold a 3-2 series lead and could put an end to Boston’s playoff run tonight. However, you know the Bruins will do all they can to stave off elimination again and force a decisive seventh game back in Florida.
