Report: Patrik Laine on verge of being traded to Atlantic Division

It looks as though the saga of Patrik Laine wanting to leave the Columbus Blue Jackets could soon be at an end.

According to a report released just minutes ago from NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, there is traction on a potential deal that would send Laine from the Blue Jackets to the Montreal Canadiens. He wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account: 

"Hearing today there is traction between Columbus and Montreal on a Patrik Laine trade"
