Yeah… that’s gonna be a “No” for me, dawg.

It’s not exactly a secret that Minnesota Wild general manager Paul Fenton has been trying to find a trade partner for forward Jason Zucker. He has reportedly struck out on a potential deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins that was centered around speedster Phil Kessel, but that hasn’t deterred Fenton from getting to work.
According to Wild insider Michael Russo of The Athletic, Fenton has been aggressively shopping Zucker to the Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes, Vegas Golden Knights and Vancouver Canucks. And the offers… well let’s just say that they’ve varied wildly. Check out this second hand report from Russo on Twitter in which its reported that Canucks GM Jim Benning “laughed and hung up” when Fenton proposed a Zucker for Brock Boeser swap:
That… that takes some stones to offer up.
Zucker’s a good player and all… but he’s a 20 goal guy at 27 years old. At this point, he is what he is. Boeser on the other hand… he’s a 22 year old with 40+ goal potential. Boeser outproduced Zucker both in terms of goals and points this past season, despite playing 12 fewer games. Like… what are you thinking, Fenton?
