The Detroit Red Wings have suffered far more than their fair share of injuries this season, starting with scoring forward Tyler Bertuzzi breaking his hand in just the second game of the year. That's on top of Detroit already having been without Robby Fabbri (torn ACL) and defenseman Jake Walman (offseason surgery) to start the season, and coupled with injuries to Oskar Sundqvist, Elmer Soderblom, and Filip Zadina. And of course, there's also the matter of Jakub Vrana entering the NHLPA Player Assistance Program.
Go ahead and add another name to the list of Detroit's walking wounded. Defenseman Gustav Lindstrom is now listed as day to day by Detroit ahead of tonight's matchup against the Anaheim Ducks; his injury is undisclosed. It looks as though Walman could be making his season debut for Detroit in Lindstrom's place:
Lindstrom, who didn't play against the Kings on Saturday night, has one point while averaging just over 14 minutes of ice time per game.
