While Detroit Red Wings fans wait in earnest for the next move by general manager Steve Yzerman, a decision has been made on whether or not qualifying contract offers will be given out to a handful of players.
The players who did in fact receive qualifying contract offers are Joe Veleno, along with prospects Jared McIsaac, Wyatt Newpower, and Jon Lethemon.
However, those who did not receive such an offer include Klim Kostin, Matt Luff, Gustav Lindstrom, Seth Barton, Jasper Weatherby, and Pontus Andreasson.
Veleno appeared in a career high 81 games last season, scoring nine goals with 11 assists.
Meanwhile, if this brings an end to Gustav Lindstrom's tenure with the Red Wings, he will depart having played in 128 career games while scoring two goals and adding 23 assists.
