The New York Rangers have made it back to the Eastern Conference Final for the second time since 2022 and fourth time since 2014, but will be taking on the Florida Panthers for the first time beyond the regular season since 1997 when they featured the likes of Mark Messier, Wayne Gretzky, Mike Richter and Adam Graves.
And while Manhattan is already one of the most expensive places in the world to live, fans attending events at Madison Square Garden (appropriately nicknamed "The World's Most Famous Arena") had better get ready to shell out record amounts of money to be able to see the Rangers continue their quest for the Stanley Cup.
According to numbers recently released by Forbes, the average ticket cost for a fan attending a home Rangers game during the Eastern Conference Final against the Panthers is $2,162. That's a considerable uptick from the already hefty average price tag of just over $1,600 per ticket for the 2022 Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Not surprisingly, the cost of ticket prices in New York are higher than the cost of a ticket to attending the Western Conference Final at American Airlines Arena, home of the Dallas Stars. They'll be taking on the Edmonton Oilers, and the average cost fans must shell out in the Lone Star State run approximately $1,181.
For the Panthers, this marks their second season of being among the final four NHL teams standing.
Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final will take place tomorrow night starting at 8:00 PM EST. Will it be the host Rangers or visiting Panthers who draws first blood and takes a step closer to the Stanley Cup Final?
