Rangers GM Chris Drury shoves another one of his players on trade block!

More trades coming to New York. Get full details below:

New York has won just three of their past 14 games dating back to Nov. 19. and it has been a downhill slide for the team, leading to trades and much chatter about the atmosphe in the dressing room. Rangers general manager Chris Drury has pretty much placed every one of his players on the trade block, and defenseman Jacob Trouba and forward Kaapo Kakko are no longer with the team.

And one more has landed on the block.

According to Dan Rosen of NHL.com, defenseman Ryan Lindgren could be playing his final season in NYC. He could be Drury’s next victim, especially since he is on a one-year, $4.5 million contract and set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

Rosen believes that the oft-injured blue liner has been lacking speed on plays and hasn’t proven to be the best partner for Adam Fox on the Rangers’ top defenseman pairing.

The insider believes that after the NHL roster freeze, closer to the March trade deadline, Lindgren could be sent to the highest bidder if the Blueshirts are out of playoff contention. Speaking of Lindgren, Rosen says:

“He’s been a warrior, but Lindgren has a lot of miles, bumps and bruises on him. He’s not mobile. He’s not quick. Adam Fox needs a defense partner that can be a safety net for him, which Lindgren has been for years. But Fox needs a defense partner with some more life in his legs than Lindgren has left.”

The Rangers are in action later tonight against the Stars in Dallas. They desperately need a win, or at least, Lindgren needs a good game to be kept in the fold a little longer… The Rangers’ current skid has erased a 12-4-1 start to the 2024-25 season and put the playoffs in jeopardy after winning the Presidents’ Trophy last year.
