Pierre Engvall gets revenge against Maple Leafs
Talk about a perfect way to avenge being traded.

There certainly is some satisfaction in scoring against your former team that traded you away, and it was demonstrated in full on Monday night.
New York Islanders forward Pierre Engvall, originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, spent the initial years of his career with them before being traded at last year's NHL Trade Deadline. Last night, he scored the decisive goal late in regulation, securing a crucial two points for his new team in the standings while denying his former club any points.
It was a special homecoming for Engvall, who was playing his first game back at Scotiabank Arena since being traded. His return also included a tribute video on the scoreboard:
Meanwhile, Engvall certainly felt good about scoring against the club that ditched him last year.
"Felt really good," Engvall said in his postgame comments. "It was a really tight and tough game, so to see the puck go in and then get the win, especially at the end, close in a tight game, I think it was really good for us."
"Obviously, I played here for a long time, and to get the win over your old teammates, it feels good."
"I'm sure he was a bit nervous for tonight's game, but he played a really solid game tonight," said Islanders coach Patrick Roy, who recently took over for the terminated Laine Lambert. "We talk a lot about going to the net, and it's exactly what he did. And he was rewarded for a nice play."
Additionally, the significance of Engvall's goal was obvious to his teammates.
"He's pretty quiet," said defenseman Ryan Pulock. "But I think that celebration meant a lot more to him there with just everything — first game back, and then it being go-ahead goal with two minutes left. Pretty special. So, big goal for him. Big win for us."
The Islanders return home to UBS Arena to face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night, while the Leafs will host the Dallas Stars.
