Penguins issue several roster updates ahead of tonight's game.

The Penguins will be banged up tonight.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be traveling to the desert on Sunday night to take on the Arizona Coyotes, but unfortunately for the Penguins they will still be dealing with a severely depleted lineup.

Prior to Sunday night's game, the Penguins announced a series of updates on Ryan Poehling, Jeff Petry, Kris Letang, Josh Archibald and Tristan Jarry, all of whom are currently sidelined with an injury.

Poehling has been sidelined with an upper body injury and was ruled out of tonight's game, but it sounds like he might be the closest to making a potential return. Jeff Petry was on the ice this morning but continues to rehab from an upper body injury of his own and won't be back in the lineup just yet. Kris Letang as we all know is currently in Montreal with members of his family and according to the Penguins he remains there at this time which is of course completely understandable given the passing of his father.

Archibald and Jarry on the other hand remain back in Pittsburgh where they both continue to recover from a pair of lower body injuries that have kept them out of the lineup.

Mike Sullivan has also confirmed that goaltender Casey DeSmith will be getting the star for tonight's game in Arizona.
