The Chicago Blackhawks have made a number of moves in the offseason, but one move in particular may not be sitting well with their star forward.
Kane was a guest on Sportsnet 590 The Fan radio on Friday when he was asked about the trades made by general manager Stan Bowman this summer and, much like head coach Joel Quenneville, Kane did not seem happy.
It seems that in Kane's case it was the trade of Artemi Panarin that particularly bothered him, and Kane admitted that his initial reaction to the news was "pretty emotional."
Kane went on to further express that he was feeling “a little bit of disappointment" at the news, and given the way the two worked together on the ice it's no surprise.
“You want to keep building on that,” he explained. “It’s too bad that we didn’t have that success in the playoffs to build on that even more, but as time goes on you understand the trade, and obviously we got a hell of a player back in Brandon Saad, and he’s gonna bring a lot to our lineup as well.”
It seems Stan Bowman has made both his coach and his star player less than happy with his moves this summer.
