Only one lineup change as Maple Leafs clash with Habs.
There will only be a single change to the two lineups tonight as the Maple Leafs clash with the Canadiens.
A heated rivalry will be renewed on Saturday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs clash with the Montreal Canadiens on Hockey Night in Canada.
There will be plenty of eyeballs on this one and it is perhaps for that reason that both Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube and Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis are both keeping things status quo this evening. In fact there will be only a single change to the lineup this evening, with that change coming as a result of the Maple Leafs playing back to back games.
The lone change will be head coach Craig Berube deploying goaltender Joseph Woll this evening with Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz getting the night off after seemingly taking over the number one goaltending position for the Leafs.
Here is a look at the full Maple Leafs lineup:
Knies-Domi-Marner
Pacioretty-Tavares-Nylander
McMann-Homberg-Robertson
Lorentz-Kampf-Reaves
Rielly-OEL
McCabe-Tanev
Benoit-Timmins
Woll
The Canadiens will be making no changes to their lineup, here is what you can expect to see from them tonight:
Caufield-Suzuki-Dach
Newhook-Evans-Slafkovsky
Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher
Heineman-Condotta-Armia
Matheson-Guhle
Hutson-Savard
Xhekaj-Struble
Montembeault
We are very close to puck drop so barring any potential disasters in warmups I do not expect that we will see any changes of any kind to either lineup ahead of tonight's game.
Both Maple Leafs enforcer Ryan Reaves and Canadiens enforcer Arber Xhekaj are in the lineup tonight and fans have been clamoring to see a rematch between these two, but it remains to be seen if we will get that tonight or not.
