Nugent-Hopkins' comments last night:
"Yeah, I mean of course. he's our leader, and also the best player in the game. Of course, you're going to feel it. We got to do a better job of stepping up when a guy like that goes down, though."

I've gotta say... he ain't wrong.

UPDATE 4: McDavid ankle watch continues, courtesy of TSN expert Chris Johnston.
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid left last night's loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets after suffering what appeared to be an ankle injury.
Today, Johnston reported on TSN's 'Insider Trading' segment that the Oilers are assessing McDavid's injury with an "extreme amount of caution."
From Johnston today:
"Given who Connor McDavid is and where we are in the season I would expect an extreme amount of caution taken with his recovery. It wouldn't surprise me to see the layoff be long even if the injury itself isn't that serious because they want to error on the side of caution here."
- Chris Johnston
