Another trade underway?

We had a few trades involving defensemen on Tuesday and it seems like it might not be over.

Jim Matheson of Edmonton Journal reports that the Edmonton Oilers might have found a target to go after ahead of the trade deadline in order to get a boost on the back end.

Edmonton needs solution especially since the team lost blue liner Oscar Klefbom to injury.

Klefbom will be out of action for two to three weeks with a shoulder injury. The 26-year-old has five goals and 28 assists in 59 games this season and is leading the team in ice time, averaging 25:36 minutes per game.

Matheson therefore believes the Oilers might go after Michael Del Zotto of the Anaheim Ducks.  They could make the trade happen for a cheaper return, such as a draft pick.

In 37 games with Anaheim this season, Del Zotto has put up two goals and 11 points, as well as a +4 rating.

He could be an affordable option for the Oilers, who could pull the trigger shortly.
