Nikita Zadorov takes another shot at Evander Kane and it’s caught on camera!
91 vs. 91!
The second round series between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks have offered fans great rivalry and compelling games, but what’s even better from that show down is the game between forward Evander Kane and defenseman Nikita Zadorov.
Mind games, physical games, taunting games - it’s all there.
On Thursday’s Game 5 in Vancouver, it was no different. Kane and Zadorov were once again going toe to toe, even more so since the Canucks’ blue liner levelled Kane into the Oilers bench during Game 3.
On Thursday however, Zadorov attempted something new and quite unique when he took another shot at Kane by mocking him and making crying faces at the Oilers’ pest.
According to my lip reading abilities, Zadorov is mocking Kane, adding the. verbal jab “whaaaa.” It was all caught on camera:
Zadorov has been so good for the Canucks this postseason. He has put up four goals, eight points, and a plus-4 rating in 11 contests, playing both sides of the ice with immense physicality. He is definitely has brought an edge to the series.
There is no doubt that the bad blood will only continue to spill between those two and it feels like nothing is off limits.
Cannot wait to see what happens next between those two in Edmonton on Saturday as Game 6 takes place with the Oilers on the brink of elimination.
