NHL team hilariously compares fans to famous Christmas characters.

Some of these are amazing.

We are entering the holiday season and although there has been a ton of disappointing news coming out of the National Hockey League, the teams that are still able to play out their games are starting to bring out the holiday cheer.

This weekend's winners in that regard, at least in my estimation, has to be the St. Louis Blues. The Blues pulled off one of the most amusing little segments during a pause in play, one that involved members of the audience and clearly gave everyone in the building more than a few laughs. For this particular interlude, the Blues found members of their audience that looked similar to famous characters from some of your favorite Christmas movies and, considering this had to have been put together on very short notice, I feel like they did an incredible job of it.

The jumbotron montage began with Sam the Snowman from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and he was compared to a man that had a somewhat similar looking beard to the character, not one of the better ones from the compilation in my opinion.

They however quickly stepped up their game when the next slide came along, showing Ralphie from A Christmas Story, and quickly showing a young member of the audience who did bear quite the resemblence.

Scott Calvin from The Santa Clause was up next and once again I felt like the Blues did a really good job of finding an audience member who fit the part. The best part of this one was that the look-a-like fan was loving every second of it.

My personal favorite was up next, and this time it was once again a character from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with Hermey coming up on the slide. The young man compared to him might have been a little embarrassed, but he seemed to get a good laugh out of it as well.

We got another Rudolph character in Yukon Cornelius, I get what they were going for here but it wasn't one of the better ones in my opinion.

Marv from Home Alone was up next, and once again the positive reaction from the fan selected really made this one great.

Next up we had Scut Farkus from A Christmas Story, and I don't think anyone would love this comparison. The fan who got picked was such a good sport about it however, once again making it an awesome moment for those in attendance.

The Blues were playing the Stars in this one, and when the Grinch came up on the screen you knew exactly where they were going with it.

Last, and honestly perhaps least, we had Del Griffith from Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and I felt it was possibly the weakest of the bunch.

It was honestly a great little segment from the St. Louis Blues media team and I genuinely hope we get to see more moments like this in the future, especially considering how positively it was received by everyone in attendance.
