More terrible news for the reeling Buffalo Sabres
Better luck next time, Sabres fans. See ya in 2025-26...
This just in, Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff has announced that captain Rasmus Dahlin is out of the lineup with back spasms. Ruff reports that Dahlin isn't expected to be out long-term, but then added "You never know."
From the team's official social media account:
"You never know..."
If that doesn't perfectly sum up the Sabres' entire season, I don't know what does.
The Sabres, of course, just threw up all over themselves on home ice on Tuesday night, giving up a four goal lead and surrendering 5 unanswered goals to lose 5-4 to the Colorado Avalanche.
Star forward Tage Thompson was snubbed by Team USA for the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off and now Dahlin is out for an indeterminate amount of time.
It's safe to say that Sabres fans have had to endure a lot so far in this young season, but if there's any fanbase in the NHL that's used to this sort of abuse it's Buffalo fans.
