Mitch Marner ends up on the wrong side of a controversial call in Game 2
An overturned penalty could change this entire game.
Mitch Marner took one for the team in the 3rd period of Game 2 tonight, but it was all for naught.
The Toronto Maple Leafs' superstar forward appeared to draw a high sticking penalty when Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot high sticked him in the face accidentally while clearing a puck. Referees initially had a penalty called against Chabot on the play, but they overturned the call after watching video replay and determining that Chabot only high sticked Marner due to following through on his shot.

I've gotta say...
I hate that rule. You should be responsible for your stick at all times.
Still, that's the rule. No penalty on the play. Play on, boys.
Read below for our earlier report from this game, concerning Leafs' goaltender Anthony Stolarz.
Anthony Stolarz don't take no cap from anyone!
Especially you, Ridly Greig!
Stolarz, the Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender, absolutely chopped down Ottawa Senators forward Ridley Greig in the 2nd period of Game 2 this evening before delivering a textbook, shoulder to chest bodycheck on Greig that sent him flat on his behind.
