There's no love lost between former teammates, as we saw last week when former New York Rangers forward Ryan Reaves said that he'd have no problem dropping the gloves against the players he once suited up alongside.
And now former Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau, who shocked hockey fans everywhere by making the somewhat inexplicable decision to sign with the Columbus Blue Jackets this summer, is in the crosshairs of hard nosed forward Milan Lucic.
While speaking on the Jesse and JD Podcast prior to the start of the season, Lucic implied that Gaudreau is about to be victimized by one of his trademark hard bodychecks.
"Of course, it will be like before we were teammates," he said. "You look at the team and target their best player."
The Blue Jackets will be taking on the Flames on January 23. It certainly will be interesting to see what kind of a reception that Gaudreau gets from the Calgary faithful.
