Meredith Gaudreau makes a life-changing announcement on Monday.
The wife of Johnny Gaudreau makes an incredibly emotional announcement on Monday.
The wife of the late Johnny Gaudreau has just shared some truly incredible news with the world.
On Monday morning Johnny's wife, Meredith Gaudreau, took to social media to share a heartwarming announcement with the hockey community, one that I can only hope has brought some measure of joy and comfort to Meredith and the Gaudreau family as this incredibly difficult time.
Meredith took to instagram to reveal that she had given birth to Carter Michael Gaudreau, a beautiful baby boy, one who will carry the same middle name as his father Johnny. Meredith made the following post (some minor edits have been made for clarity):
I had our third baby! 4/1/25
Another baby boy
Carter Michael Gaudreau - same middle name as his daddy.
8lb 3 ounces, 20.5 inches - exact same as his daddy
He looks exactly like his daddy too
I love you so much my baby! We are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to give you the best life, my special boy forever.
Below you can scroll through several photos shared by Meredith herself directly via her personal Instagram account.
Meredith announced that she was pregnant with the couple's third child at the funeral that was held for Johnny after the terrible tragedy that claimed his life and that of his brother Matthew Gaudreau. Despite the incredible ordeal that she had to go through as she carried her baby to term, it seems Meredith has done a wonderful job and judging by the photos it looks like Carter Michael Gaudreau is a very healthy baby boy.
A wonderful day for Meredith and the Gaudreau family and one that I hope they can truly cherish despite the very difficult circumstances.
