Max Domi sends a message to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
Max Domi goes above and beyond to send the Ottawa Senators a message they won't soon forget.
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is quickly becoming known for his high-quality video edits and as it turns out he had one in his back pocket for the start of the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.
Although Max and his Maple Leafs won't kick off their playoff series until Sunday, Max was already getting things heated up early on Saturday when he sent an unmistakable message to his opponents in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Max took to Instagram to share his latest video edit, one that was clearly intended to send the Ottawa Senators a reminder of how the playoffs have gone between these two teams in the past.
The video begins with Max's father, legendary Maple Leafs' enforcer Tie Domi, talking about how great of a feeling it is for the Maple Leafs to win in Ottawa and proceeds to go into a number of highlights of the Leafs victories over the Senators. We see scenes from fans celebrating in the streets in 2004, brawls between these two teams, as well as game-winning goals. The focus the entire time however is on the fact that the Maple Leafs get the better of the Senators, something that Max and this current iteration of the Maple Leafs are hoping to repeat again in 2025.
The video has been incredibly well received by fans of the Maple Leafs but I do wonder about this potentially being used by the Senators themselves to give their players a little extra motivation as they prepare to head into this series on Sunday.
One thing is certain, the Battle of Ontario just got a little spicier.
