Matt Rempe takes on another heavyweight in Mathieu Olivier.
The New York Rangers rookie continues to take on all challengers in the National Hockey League.
New York Rangers rookie Matthew Rempe continues to take on all challengers, but you have to wonder how sustainable that is at his current pace.
On Sunday night, during a clash between the Rangers and the Columbus Blue Jackets, Rempe would once again drop the gloves after being challenged by Blue Jackets heavyweight Mathieu Olivier. Olivier would issue the challenge to Rempe prior to the start of the game, during warmups, in a scene that was almost identical to the one we saw between Rempe and Philadelphia Flyers forward Nicolas Deslauriers.
As mentioned I have questions about how long Rempe can keep up this pace, especially if his fights go the way this one did tonight. Rempe ate several heavy shots from Olivier at the end of this one and he would head back to the locker room for repairs following the exchange.
