It was a good night for the Minnesota Wild on Thursday who got the 3-0 shutout win over the visiting Montreal Canadiens. But there were also bad news that are finally reported on Friday.

The Wild will be without veteran forward Mats Zuccarello for three to four weeks after having surgery for a lower body injury. The procedure had to take place after Zuccarello was hit by teammate Brock Faber’s slap shot during the first period of last night’s contest.

Details on the surgery have not been released though the shot appeared to hit Zuccarello in his lower midsection.

Unfortunately for the Wild, head coach John Hynes also revealed how other teammates are also sidelined.

Joel Eriksson Ek, who also left the game because of a lower body injury, is listed as day-to-day. Defenseman Jonas Brodin, who was not in the lineup for Thursday’s game, is also listed as day-to-day.

It was a good win for goalie Filip Gustavsson and the Wild, but quite a few losses at the same time...
