When the news of Brandon Saad being traded surfaced, a lot of Chicago Blackhawks fans were puzzled by the decision. Especially after hearing what Chicago got in return: Artem Anisimov, Marko Dano and Jeremy Morin, Corey Tropp and a fourth-round draft pick.
The Hawks added a second line center in Anisimov and some other players. But the key piece in this trade might just have been Marko Dano.
The Slovakian skater, drafted 27th overall by Columbus has already shown, after only one week into camp, great chemistry with his new linemates, Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.
In what has been baptized the "Lottery Line" by head coach Q, Dano has scored a hat-trick in his first inner squad game.
Although dan might be fortunate to play with those two guys, the chemistry all three players have shown might be good news for all of them.
