Marc Andre Fleury breaks his silence on whether or not he's retiring after the season
One more kick at the can?

For months now everyone has just assumed that once Marc Andre Fleury's $7 million annual contract expires this offseason that he'll just walk off into the sunset and retire at age 37. Not so fast though says the man himself...
In an interview with La Presse in his native Quebec, Fleury announced that he does indeed plan on playing next season.
From Fleury (translated from French):
“I would like to play at least another season. I decided that recently…I still love to play, I still have fun, my body is still holding up most of the time (laughs)…so yes, another season and then we will see after.”
I mean... why wouldn't he? He won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goalie in 2021 and he's putting together another stellar campaign this season, despite playing most of the season with the basement dwelling Chicago Blackhawks. The thing that's most interesting to me is whether or not Fleury remains in Minnesota past this offseason. Frankly, I'd love to see him come back and play a full season in the State of Hockey.
