Two of the biggest matters of business for Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman this offseason will be to secure new contracts for Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond, both of whom have completed their three-year entry level deals.

As you remember, Seider was Yzerman's first selection since returning to the Red Wings, and the German native would go on to win the Calder Trophy as the NHL's best rookie in 2021-22 and has established himself as Detroit's top blue liner.

Meanwhile, Raymond enjoyed a productive rookie campaign of his own and then rebounded this season from the dreaded sophomore slump last year to record career highs in both goals and assists and is showing signs of emerging as a true star in the League.

According to projections made by Evolving Hockey, Raymond will be inked to a 7 year deal that carries an $7.735 million AAV:

Moving on to Seider, the highest probability deal appears to be a six year deal carrying an AAV of $7.661 million:

There will be deals worked out for these two important cornerstones of Detroit's rebuild; the chances of either player departing for a different team is essentially zero. It's only a matter of getting the term in both money and contract length figured out.
