Major broadcaster airs tweet insinuating “affair” with Dion Phaneuf's wife.

A major Canadian broadcaster made a major mistake today when they broadcast a highly inappropriate tweet suggesting that a fellow Leafs player had inappropriate relations with the wife of Leaf's captain Dion Phaneuf. The tweet which came from a user by the name @AdragnaA21 suggested that Joffrey Lupul had an affair with Phaneuf's wife, who is Hollywood starlet Elisha Cuthbert. Needless to say Lupul was very upset, and rightfully so, about the baseless rumor and his response was scathing.

"TSN just a poor mans TMZ. Embarrassing."

TSN would later apologize for airing the tweet, but the damage had been done. You can see the tweet below, warning the language is colorful.
