Calgary Flames defenseman MacKenzie Weegar is feeling a little dry at this time, after posting four goals and 16 points in 32 games so far this season. When a fan approached him to get an autograph, Weegar was asked if he should be traded out of his fantasy pool in return for $40 and two beers or if he was about to score more goals.

Weegar surprisingly negotiates with the fan, telling him that if he gets offered eight beers instead of two, he should make the trade.

The fan goes on to tell Weegar that he believes the blue liner will score more goals, to which the Flames’ veteran player replies:

“I want to score more, I’m a little dry right now.

Adding: “I”ll pick it up, but if he offers eight beers, take it.”

The funny negotiation was all caught on tape, then posted on YouTube shorts, and this is hilarious:

Over the weekend, Weegar reached the 500 NHL game milestone against the visiting Florida Panthers. The Flames got away with a 3-0 shutout win over the defending Stanley Cup champions, with Weegar ended the night with a +1 rating and more than 21 minutes of ice time.

No goal however, so those eight beers are starting to sound pretty good in a fantasy trade.
