Logan Stanley destroys Jordan Kyrou with a monster hit in Game 2.

Logan Stanley punishes Jordan Kyrou with a huge hit and Kyrou is feeling it.

The Stanley Cup playoffs have brought with them an increased level of physicality and unfortunately for St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou, he learned that the hard way on Monday night.

Kyro and the Blues are facing off against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2 of their opening round playoff series and it would be during that game's first period that Kyrou found himself on the wrong side of a violent collision. That collision came courtesy of Jets defenseman Logan Stanley who delivered the boom when Kyrou tried to carry the puck into the Jets zone.

Kyrou never saw the hit coming due to the fact that he was too busy trying to wrangle the pass that was coming his way, something he managed to do for only a split second before Stanley closed the gap and punished Kyrou with a monster hit. Even the official that was close to the play looked like he was afraid he might get caught in the car crash, with the official quickly jumping away from the impact.

Kyrou was clearly feeling the ill effects of the hit as well with the Blues forward doubled over in pain even after getting back to his skates. Kyrou could also be seen taking deep breaths, as if he had just gotten the wind knocked out of him.

Here's the live angle of the hit:
