The scrappy forward was not on the ice today.

As the Toronto Maple Leafs gathered for practice today at the Ford Performance Centre, one notable member of the team was not with the rest of his teammates.
Forward Tyler Bertuzzi was nowhere to be found during the skate today as the team prepares to host the Western Conference power Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night.
The positive aspect is that Bertuzzi isn't dealing with an injury, but rather missed practice due to the fact that his wife Ashley is set to give birth to the couple's second child:
Bertuzzi, who is in his first year with the Leafs after agreeing to a one-year contract in the offseason after having split last year with the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins, has scored six goals with 14 assists in 45 games played while averaging 15:18 ice time.
