No Morgan Rielly, John Tavares and Mitch Marner? Apparently, that was no problem for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight against the St. Louis Blues at downtown Toronto's Scotiabank Arena thanks to an unexpected source.
Forward Bobby McMann stepped up in a major way, netting his first career hat trick as part of a 4-1 victory. He entered tonight's game with only two goals in his previous 26 games played, but more than doubled that total thanks to an all-around amazing effort.
And thanks to his effort, he became just the 3rd undrafted player in the last 35 years of Leafs history to score a hat trick, following in the footsteps of Tyler Bozak (twice in 2015) and Jason Blake (2009).
Congratulations to McMann on the career milestone!
