Marc-Andre Fleury says he will continue his NHL career and play another season. His agent, Allan Walsh, confirmed that information again on Wednesday on his own podcast and revealed more on the possibility of Flower returning to Minnesota.

The pending unrestricted free agent spent this past season with the Chicago Blackhawks and Wild. After getting moved to Minnesota at the trade deadline, Fleury put up a 9-2-0 record with 2.74 goals-against average and .910 save percentage in 11 regular-season games. The team trusted him for the first five games of the series against the St. Louis Blues, but then turned to Cam Talbot to stay alive. They were eliminated from the postseason in six games.

At his end of season media availability, Fleury had discussed the possibility of returning to the Wild.

”It was such a great time, loved the time [in Minnesota] and everything,” Fleury said“Made it very appealing to play here. Definitely [I’d consider coming back].

“I’m glad I came, I’m glad I got the opportunity to play with this team. Such a great locker room, great chemistry between the guys and the staff, coaches. … Even people around town, when I went to restaurants and stuff, everybody was very welcoming and nice. They love the game, they love their hockey here, so it was good to live this.”

Walsh added to the speculation that his client could sign with the Wild, saying that his friendship with GM Bill Guerin could play in the balance.

I know he really enjoyed the experience there, the organization was amazing to him, Billy Guerin is a great friend of his from their playing days… The fans were amazing to him. We’ll have to see how the offseason goes.”

However, Flower could get to test the free agency waters for the first time of his career as he is coming off the final season of his three-year, $21-million contract.

And money is tight in Minny: the Wild only has $8.18 million of cap space available next season and GM Guerin will need to decide on the future of players like Kevin Fiala who is a restricted free agent.

What does that mean for Flower and his future, at least in Minnesota?
