Kuznetsov goes for The Michigan with the season on the line!

Carolina Hurricanes forward Evgeny Kuznetsov risks it all with his season on the line.

Regardless of what team you are cheering for in this series, you have to respect the size of the stones of Carolina Hurricanes forward Evgeny Kuznetsov for even going for this.

On Saturday night, Kuznetsov and the Hurricanes faced off against the New York Rangers in Game 4 of their second round series in the Stanley Cup playoffs and it was a massive game for the Hurricanes. After coughing up a 3-0 series lead to the Rangers, the Hurricanes had their playoff lives on the line.

You would think that might cause players to be tense, especially in the third period with the game tied at 3-3, but if Kuznetsov felt any negative impact from that pressure he sure wasn't showing it.

In one of the craziest plays I've seen in an elimination, Kuznetsov attempted The Michigan from behind the Rangers net, the only time I can recall a player ever doing so with his season on the line. Unfortunately he wouldn't get the puck past Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin thanks to a brilliant defensive play from Adam Fox, who seemed more than prepared to deal with that type of scoring chance.
