Kings pull stunning waiver move after last night’s game-changer!
GOALIE on waivers alert!
HockeyFeed
The Los Angeles Kings have placed goalie Cal Petersen on waivers on Wednesday.
The move comes after last night’s game-changing overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken. Petersen entered the game in the second period, but surrendered four goals on 16 shots.
He dropped to 5-3-2 with a 3.75 goals-against average and an .868 save percentage in 10 outings this season.
Peterson could get a lot of attention on the waiver wire ahead of tomorrow’s deadline as he was instrumental for the Kings playoff run last season. He started 35 games and had a 20-14-2 record with an .895 save percentage and 2.89 goals-against average.
The goalie is on the first year of a three-year, $15 million deal and has a modified no-trade clause.
