Katie Gaudreau breaks silence on the passing of her brothers.

The hockey world is still reeling from the news regarding the sudden, unexpected, and tragic passing of both National Hockey League star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau, but while we are all mourning their loss that cannot compare to what the Gaudreau family is currently experiencing.

No one would blame them for being overcome with grief but, despite the challenging circumstances, we've heard from Meredith Gaudreau on the passing of her husband Johnny as well as from Madeline Gaudreau on the passing of her husband Matthew.

On Monday, another member of the Gaudreau family issued a statement when one of the boys' sisters, Katie, took to her Instagram to publish a beautiful picture of the family together, one that was accompanied by a heartbreaking message.

"To know these two was to love these two. There are absolutely no words I have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John. The absolute best big brothers a little girl could have asked for. This will never be a goodbye post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I’ll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies."

Once again my most sincere condolences go out to the Gaudreau family and everyone that has been impacted by this horrible tragedy.
