Goaltender Jonathan Bernier has officially decided to call it a career after having played 404 career NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings, Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils.
Unfortunately, his move was decided after having missed the majority of the 2021-22 season along with all of last season; he had one year remaining on his contract with the Devils.
And taking to social media to give a playful jab towards Bernier is none other than former NHL All-Star forward John Scott, who infamously was voted into the annual event via a massive write-in campaign. Scott posted a video of his scoring one of his few career goals against Bernier while the latter was a member of the Leafs:
Well played by John Scott!
