Rumours heat up, because it does not take much with Kane almost ready to go!

Hockey fans love to gossip and it didn’t take long for the chatter to become a report when free agent star forward Patrick Kane was spotted as he is expected be looking at a new contract in the NHL this month after rehabbing from hip resurfacing surgery he underwent in June. According to Darren Dreger, who reported the buzz, Kane was spotted at Pearson International airport, and many want to believe the Toronto Maple Leafs are still in contention to sign the free agent.
However, he was reportedly on his way to Chicago, and so does that mean the Blackhawks also want to reunite with their former star? This is what Dreger said about this whole spotting buzz:
“Patrick Kane was spotted on Wednesday and that’s not unusual. He’s going back to Chicago for a bit of a break. But we know, as we’ve reported and others have, that he’s been working out in the Greater Toronto Area. Rehabbing. I’m told that, man, he is on schedule and looks great. He feels great to the point where his agent is going to start exploring the return possibilities in a week-to-10 days. And once they get through that, then they’ll follow with interviews and meetings with some of these clubs, before Patrick Kane makes that ultimate decision.”
Kane’s agent Pat Brisson mentioned more than once that his client will be fielding offers at the start of November while Kane also takes a closer look at the NHL’s landscape and feels out which teams will be a top contender, another chance at a fourth championship before heading towards retirement.
The Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and New York Rangers have been linked to Kane since this summer, and recently the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars were added to the mix.
Earlier this season, TSN insider Dave Poulin had gotten fans dreaming about the possibility of adding Kane to the Toronto roster when he said the Leafs will be “at the forefront of potential suitors.” There were reports floating around that Toronto could add Kane for league minimum and then bump up his pay if he produces. Those bonuses would then be added to next year’s salary. However, with superstar Auston Matthews’ new deal kicking in next season though that might make things even more difficult. It really depends on what other moves GM Brad Treliving has in mind.
I just want to say that Kane could travel wherever he pleases, it does not mean it will sign with the local team. I get that every club would want to add the veteran presence and leadership but let’s see what really makes sense for cap spaces and for the veteran forward.
Alright?
