Insiders: The Anaheim Ducks have the most dysfunctional locker room in the NHL.

“He's making life a living Hell for these guys.” A damning report of a team turning against itself in the link below.

Trevor Connors

The Anaheim Ducks are a team entering a crossroad.

The team hasn't made the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2018 and are staring down the barrel of seven consecutive seasons outside the playoff picture.

After a lengthy rebuild though surely the team is showing signs of progress, right? Well, it depends who you ask apparently.

The Ducks have struggled out of the gate this season, in the sophomore campaign for head coach Greg Cronin. The team's offense has been dreadful and the defense hasn't been much better. Young players like Mason McTavish, Trevor Zegras and Cutter Gauthier have failed to impress this season, while veterans like Cam Fowler, Robby Fabbri and John Gibsons have been a non-factor. Now, there's talk that the team might be the "most dysfunctional" team in the NHL.

On today's 'Spittin Chiclets' podcasts, hosts Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette both reported that Ducks head coach Cronin could be in trouble, as it appears that the players don't have his back. Bissonnette went so far as to say that he's heard the Ducks have "the most dysfunctional locker room in the NHL."

Yikes... that's not good. Especially not after Phase 2 of a long rebuild. This team can't afford to tear things down and build them back up again. They need to show progress and it needs to start now, otherwise they'll be staring down the barrel of yet another wasted rebuild.

Thankfully 20 year old forward Leo Carlsson and 24 year old goaltender Lukas Dostal appear to be the real deal. But, certainly the Ducks will need a lot more talent before they can once again begin contending for a playoff spot.
