Insider reveals why JT Miller trade is falling apart!
Will he stay or will he go?

We knew that the Vancouver Canucks were going to be sellers at the deadline and with the surprising trade for Filip Hronek on Wednesday, we see that they also are unpredictable…
However, insider Frank Seravalli doubts that the Canucks will move forward J.T Miller prior to today’s 3PMET deadline. Sure his name has come up more than once in trade chatter, however, Seravalli reveals the hefty asking price from Vancouver might put an end to the rumours, especially with the Canucks refusing to retain salary on the star forward.
On top of that, the Canucks have no one to fill the void if Miller goes…
“Miller’s name has surfaced in trade talks, but the Canucks wanted to secure a young center as a replacement before considering moving him. They were also asking for two first-round picks in return for Miller – or a first and a prospect.”
Miller is in the final season of his contract with a $5.25 million cap hit, if the Canucks were to retain on that, the same percentage retained would also carry over to the next contract as well. Miller did sign a monster seven-year, $56 million contract extension in September.
Vancouver is looking to create cap flexibility and there is no way they will loss Miller and retain some of his money ahead of today’s deadline.
And so it feels like Miller is off the board!
