Hot mic catches NHL official dropping an F-bomb.

Woops!

We hockey fans will often praise our favorite athletes for being the toughest in all of sports and I'm not here to tell you that you're wrong about that. Often overlooked though are the other men on the ice, the 4 officials overseeing the game, who also often display great toughness and endurance throughout the course of a National Hockey League game.

On Saturday night we got a very colorful example of this when linesman Kiel Murchison was caught on a hot mic expressing his displeasure about a particularly painful moment during the game. Murchison and the rest of his crew were overseeing the game between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday when, in the final minutes of the game's third period, Murchison found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It should have been a normal dump in from Blackhawks forward MacKenzie Entwistle but Murchison must have sensed something was wrong because he covered up and shielded himself very early. In spite of the fact that Murchison would try to make himself as small as possible to allow Entwistle to sneak the shot past him, the Blackhawks forward would nail him dead on with the puck.

As it turns out, at that very moment there must have been a microphone right next to Murchison because he could be heard loudly voicing his displeasure with Entwistle.

"Ah f*** off!" exclaimed Murchison after being hit by the puck.

Much to his credit, Murchison would show that usual brand of hockey toughness and would finish the game in spite of the fact that he was probably in some discomfort.
