Hit to Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard’s reputation

This detail was just recently shared in a report and everyone begins to wonder why the star forward behaves like this.

On Monday night, the Chicago Blackhawks suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Maple Leafs in Toronto and media members were hoping to speak with superstar Connor Bedard after the game.

However, as Ken Campbell of the Hockey News pointed out, “Blackhawks did not make Connor Bedard available to the media” after the loss. The veteran reporter goes on to say that “The Blackhawks almost never make Bedard available after losses to speak to reporters.” He adds:

“Chances are, Bedard would not have been in a great mood after a game in which he had just three shot attempts and zero shots on goal. He provided the perfect example of a player who was trying to do everything and accomplishing almost nothing.”

In his opinion piece, Campbell defends the young forward saying that, ultimately in Chicago, the only thing that is wrong with Bedard are the Blackhawks players around him, adding that the team has not surrounded the future superstar with enough capable, NHL-caliber players.

Head coach Luke Richardson told reporters after the 4-1 loss to Toronto that “ Bedard has actually been pretty good lately”, though you have to wonder if that includes a better attitude when facing the music and reporters after bad performances.

When he does not meet with media after a frustrating game makes Bedard sound like a kid and a player with a questionable reputation. As the next face of the NHL, Bedard should strive to correct this and be a man when getting criticized.
Bedard’s still young, he has time to mature and get better with media. But he should probably turn a corner quickly.
