Full lineups for Maple Leafs vs Kraken on Sunday night.
The Kraken are fielding a severely depleted lineup against the Maple Leafs on Sunday night.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will travel to Seattle on Sunday night where they will face off against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena, but it will be a Kraken team that looks very much like a shell of it's normal self.
The Kraken will be fielding a severely depleted roster on Sunday night with several players out due to illness or injury on top of having Yanni Gourde absent while he serves a suspension.
Vince Dunn, Philipp Grubauer, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Matty Berniers are all out of the lineup this evening, which leaves us with a Kraken roster that is expected to look like this:
Tatar - McCann - Eberle
Tolvanen - Wennberg - Bjorkstrand
Schwartz - Kartye - Burakovsky
Hayden - Shore - Tanev
Evans - Larsson
Oleksiak - Borgen
Dumoulin - Schultz
Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord was first off the ice during today's morning skate, so presumably he will get the start against the Maple Leafs tonight.
The Maple Leafs on the other hand are coming into this one relatively healthy with only goaltender Joseph Woll defenseman John Klingberg and enforcer Ryan Reaves currently sidelined due to injury. Woll remaining sideline is a big deal to be sure, it will force the Maple Leafs to turn to the embattled Ilya Samsonov once again this evening, but neither Klingberg nor Reaves has had much of an impact on this roster this season.
Here is how the Maple Leafs lineup is shaping up tonight:
Holmberg - Matthews - Marner
Bertuzzi -Tavares - Nylander
Knies - Domi - Jarnkrok
McMann - Kampf - Gregor
Rielly - Brodie
Benoit - McCabe
Giordano - Liljegren
Update: Sheldon Keefe has made 4 last minute adjustments to his lineup in Seattle.
As mentioned Ilya Samsonov is expected to get the start for the Maple Leafs this evening.
