The Philadelphia Flyers and GM Daniel Briere have already negotiated a massive new contract extension for forward Owen Tippett, an eight year pact keeping him in the City of Brotherly Love for the foreseeable future.
And now, Briere has announced his second contract extension of the day. In July of 2022, he was traded along with defenseman Jeff Petry to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenseman Mike Matheson and a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
In 53 games with the Penguins, he scored seven goals and seven assists. This year with the Flyers in 44 games played, he's scored five goals with nine assists.
He's scored 25 goals with 25 assists in 182 games played in his career.
