A hockey fan has made a beautiful painting in honor of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau and now he is sharing it with the hockey world.

It is people like this that truly make this world a beautiful place.

I don't need to tell you that the tragic deaths of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau last month shook the hockey world to its core. So terrible was the loss of the two young men that it even reached far beyond the sport of hockey, with tributes to Johnny and Matthew coming from all over the sports world and all around the globe.

Although it has been almost a month since Johnny and Matthew were tragically killed while cycling home from their sister's wedding rehearsal, the tributes continue to pour in as the deaths of the two boys are still fresh in the minds of those in the hockey community.

The latest example of this comes to us from Ronald D Genest who specializes in making hockey-themed artwork and, to steal an analogy from the sport of baseball, Genest really hit this one out of the park.

Genest revealed his tribute to Johnny and Matthew in an adorable video in which he is seen wearing a helmet on his head with the painting canvas facing his body. Genest then slowly turns the canvas around revealing a truly beautiful painting of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau skating alongside one another as both men skate off towards the setting sun.

Genest has appropriately named the piece "Into the Sunset."

The best part of this is that Genest's artwork has reached the eyes of Johnny's wife, Meredith Gaudreau, who gave the picture he shared on his Instagram account a like. Not only is Genest making beautiful art, but he's likely also bringing a little joy to a family that is going through terrible pain at the moment.

You can see the video in which he reveals his painting to the world in the short clip below:
