With reports that fellow pending free agent Nikita Zadorov is seeking as much as $6 million per season on a five or six year deal, it looks like the Canucks may be out of the running for their two top pending free agents. Both Lindholm and Zadorov were acquired from the Calgary Flames this past season in separate deals that the Canucks paid handsomely for.
To acquire Lindholm the Canucks shipped Andrei Kuzmenko, Vancouver’s first-round pick and a conditional fourth-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft, and defenseman prospects Hunter Brzustewicz and Joni Jurmo.
